FILM DESCRIPTION:
Tribes of vampires and werewolves battle for supremacy among the undead in this follow-up to the horror hit Underworld. Tracing the bloody history of the ongoing war between the Death Dealers, a gang of upper-crust vampires, and the Lycans, a pack of scruffy werewolves, Underworld: Evolution finds beautiful Death Dealer Selene (Kate Beckinsale) and hunky Lycan Michael (Scott Speedman) exploring their own pasts as well as those of their comrades in hope of uncovering the secrets of this centuries-old conflict. As Selene and Michael deal with their bloody legacy as well as their forbidden romance, the violence between the Death Dealers and the Lycans escalates in what may be the final face-off between them. Directed by Len Wiseman, who also helmed the first film, Underworld: Evolution also stars Shane Brolly, Bill Nighy, Tony Curran, and Derek Jacobi.

Am I the only one that thinks the Lycans look so much better when they are C.G.? I mean, its great that they are trying for practical effects when they can but when they have the guys in the suits the way the Lycans move and act is just so slow and clumsy and unnatural that it just seems sad to me especially with the way they have the giant heads they can't move. In contrast, when they are C.G., they are all explosive claws and fury and they look like an unholy union between a bear and a mountain lion.
I absolutely hate how Michael looks in this movie. They nailed the character's appearance in the first movie, and in this movie, he looks way too Lycan and not enough vampire. It was a good mix of werewolf / vampire makeup in the first movie, but too much werewolf in this one. I heard the main reason for this change is because Michael was bitten by a Lycan first and so he exhibits more Lycan traits than vampire as the movies continue onward.

What i don't get is that in the 1st Underworld movie Michael's transformation was different. In this ine he has a snout of a werewolf. In the 1st one he didn't he was just normal on his face. I actually don't mind this version of Michael but they got to quit changing his looks when he is half vampire and half werewolf
